Carson saw the hose lying on the ground and wanted to water the flowers. So he goes about until all the flowers had a drink of water. My dad told Carson to squirt Matt with the hose, Carson does. Matt told Carson the squirt my dad, Carson does. Carson proceeds to squirt the hose at my mom and me. Then unexpectedly, Carson turns the hose towards his face and presses the handle squirting himself. IT WAS HILARIOUS. We were all laughing so hard. Carson thought it was so funny that he squirted himself in the face again. It took everyone about 5 min to recover from laughing so hard. Never a dull moment when Carson is around.

MAKENZIE TURNS ONE!!!

Makenzie turned one last Thursday and we had quite the day. In the morning we went to the grocery store to buy food for her party and balloons. Story about the balloons, I had put them into the back of the car and Matt had left the car door open, he told me to grab the balloons and I looked up just in time to see the balloons fly away into the sky. I was not very happy. So I went back into the store to have balloons blown up again. We get home and Carson starts to play with the balloons and pops one. I was once again not very happy. The balloons where the curse of me that day.

We had family over for dinner, cake, ice cream and presents. We had bought Makenzie mostly clothes since she really needed them and she looked so dang cute. She did very well eating her cake and very much enjoyed it. We had a wonderful time and are grateful that Makenzie is a part of our family. I just love her so much and look forward to watching her grow up.

I just love her cute smile

Picture Perfect!

TIME OFF

So about a month ago I decided to take some time off from work and that time has now come. I have this week and half of next week off. Will I able to relax you ask, not hardly. We have Makenzies 1st birthday, a family reunion, high school graduation, memorial day, and doctor appointments. Those are the planned things, but something else is bound to happen. It will be nice not having to wake up at 5am to go to work for a week. Oh glorious sleep how I have missed you. I hope to get in some good work-outs, try to finish some of the many unfinished projects and spent has much time outside as possible to work on my tan (and to play with the kids of course). Here to TIME OFF FROM WORK:) if only you could get time off from being a wife and mother

Life

So much to say and not enough time. The kids are asleep and I have neglected the blog world. Now that I have facebook I have not done much blogging. So blog world please forgive me.

Life is going well in the Meldrum home. Matt is liking his new branch and all the work that comes with it. He is doing very well at bringing home the bacon. Flag football has started, yay!!!!!!!(sarcasm). He plays on Saturdays which causes conflicting of schedules since we both work on Saturdays so he has to find babysitters for the kids. Matt did have his birthday a month ago and he got to go skiing for the day. He loved it and wishes he could go more often.

I have changed my schedule at work so hopefully I will have more time to do the things I want, like blog, and activities with the kids. I have committed myself to running a 10K race in July so I have been going to the gym on average 3 times a week. I really do enjoy it plus it helps get rid of the baby fat I still carry. My calling in primary keeps me busy and some days I wish I could get released, but I do enjoy being with the children each week.

Carson is all boy all the way, but his famine side is coming out. He loves to help me do the dishes, cook, sweep, vacuum, laundry, and anything else I might be doing. He loves to play with his stuffed animals and pretend they are his babies. He also is very helpful in taking care of Makenzie, a little too much at times. I can't wait for the warm weather to stay so I can take him outside every day. He could live outside if I let him. He is afraid of the dark and still does not like to try new foods.

Makenzie is getting so big. She turns 1 next month. She has 4 teeth and is so close to walking. She is very much a mommas girl and if I am around won't let anybody hold her or she will throw a fit. She loves to push her walker around in circles and Carson likes to hop on for the ride. She can climb stairs so the gate has been put up. We are introducing table food to her and she seems to be doing good with it.

That's a little bit if whats been happening. The kids are waking up and its time to head to the gym.

Promotion

Matt was promoted this last week at work and started his new job on Monday. He went from being a Service Manager 1 to a Service Manager 2. Which means he does the same job just at a bigger branch and has more employees to manage. It is the next stage he needed to take to continue on becoming a branch manager. If he does really well for the next year then he could become a branch manager this time next year and then make enough money so I would not have to work. Which would work out really nice because I would like to have another child next year and I don't know if I could handle working 6 days a week with three children. So there are some good things happening right now for more good things in the future.

Congratulations Matt!

Facebook

Well I finally joined Facebook. Before i knew it Carson was crying and then his cry was getting worse. So I set Makenzie down to go and get Carson. I find him hold his foot and our bucket with rice in it on the floor. He had somehow pulled the bucket down and it landed on his foot. His right big toe immediately turned purple under his toenail and he had some bleeding with lose skin. I took him to the bathroom to wash his foot and to get a better look at it. It does not look to bad, but looks can be deceiving. I give him Tylenol because he was in a lot of pain. I could not get him to calm down and even put an ice bag on his toe to help with the swelling and pain. I called Matt at work, told him what had happened and to come home quickly to help calm Carson down. By the time Matt had come home I was able to calm Carson down with helping me cook dinner. He was limping the rest of the evening and Matt and I debated whether we should take him to see a doctor not knowing if it might have been broken. We decided to hold off and see what today would bring. I put Carson to bed around 8:30 his normal time and he went down just fine. An hour later he wakes up crying in pain. I get him and bring him downstairs to watch T.V. with me to calm him down and I could not. You could tell he was in a lot of pain. So I try to call Matt who had left at 9 pm to play basketball to have him come and take Carson to the Hospital. I could not get a hold of him and was getting mad.

I called my brother to come and hang out at my house because I did not want to wake Makenzie up and take her to the hospital. My brother tells my mom that I have to take Carson to the hospital and then she calls me. I did not call her first thinking that she was in bed and did not want to wake her. I tell her what happened through my tears and she comes to my house to go to the hospital with me. I still have not been able to get a hold of Matt and have left him messages. So my brother his here with Makenzie asleep and Carson, my mom, and I head the hospital. The waiting room was full and we waited for quiet awhile. While we were waiting I finally heard from Matt who was done playing basketball and says he did not hear his phone ring. I told him to just go home so my brother could go home. We debated about him coming to the hospital so I could go home and sleep, but we did not do that. I think we finally got taken back around 12:30am to see a doctor. While we were waiting in our room Carson had a dirty diaper and I forgot to bring anything with me. So my mom runs to the store to buy diapers and wipes because the hospital only caries newborn and adult size diapers. So we get his diaper changed with a very bad diaper rash which is causing him more pain than his toe. We got x-rays and it showed no brakes which was a good thing. They gave him medicine to help dull the pain of them burning a hole in his toenail to allow the blood and fluids to come out from under his toenail which relieved the pressure causing him to been in pain. So Carson will lose his toe nail and we have months of trying to protect his toe while a new one grows. Right now we have to be on the look out for infection. Carson did not sleep at all at the hospital so he feel asleep not long after getting in the car. I finally got home 2:15am, put Carson to bed and then myself to bed since I had to be to work at 5:30am.

I was very tired at work this morning and after a 2 hour nap I still feel extremely tired. I plan on going to bed very early tonight. This was my first trip to the hospital with a child and I hope it does not happen to often. I don't know if I can handle it, even though I think I did pretty well. While I was at the hospital I kept hoping they would not have my talk to a social worker because of how Carson hurt himself. I try to be a good mom, I Promise! Just creating memories.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARSON

On December 30 Carson turned 2. Matt was able to take the day off which was nice to have us all home for the day. When I got home from work, Matt's dad had stopped by on his way to St. George to give Carson his birthday present. I had brought home some balloons and Carson had fun playing with them. When his dad left, Matt started putting Carson's play kitchen together. couple hour project, but it was not to difficult. When he was done I got to put the finial touch on it which was the stickers. When Carson woke up from his nap we gave him his present so he could play with it for the rest of the day. That night my family came over for dinner, cake and ice cream. Carson got pots and pans and play food to go with his kitchen. He got leap frog tag and clothes. When it came time to blow out the candles he did it all by himself. He enjoyed eating his ice cream and did not want any cake. I think overall it was a great day and my baby is no longer a baby, SAD:( He has been such a joy in our lives and I would not trade him for anything. I love you Carson

6 Months Old

Makenzie went to the doctors for her check-up. So finally some time to my self on the computer (Matt is into playing games computer games so I rarely get the computer at night once the children are in bed) to write.

Carson is still being Carson, all over the place. We have taken our gate down so he now goes up and down the stairs all day long. We keep our bedroom and hallway bathroom doors locked. So he can go into Makenzies bedroom and his own. He likes to go into Makenzies room and climb into her crib and play with the printer which is right next to her crib. He played with it so much one time that he changed the language setting and it took me awhile to change the setting back to English because I could not read the words. Also when Carson climbs into the crib, he does not know how to get so he waits for me to get him. I very clearly remember him climbing out of his crib causing us to convert his crib into a toddler bed at 17 months of age. He is obsessed with playing in the kitchen. He has to pretend to cook, bake, play with the dished in the sink and help himself to anything in the fridge. It is very cute at times and frustrating at times. I cannot wait until his birthday when he gets his play kitchen, hoping he would leave mine alone.

Makenzie is getting so big, she is 6 months old and is so close to crawling. She rocks back and forth on her hands and knees and get really frustrated that she can't quite move yet to reach those toys. She has started solid foods. She has been eating rice cereal for a month now and on Thanksgiving day tried sweet potatoes which she did not like. She has no interest in holding her own bottle and will give a smile to any who looks or talks to her. She has been unusually fussy the past couple of days and it makes us wonder if she has a tooth trying to come through.

Matt and I are doing well. Last weekend, Matt took the kids up to Logan to visit his family while I stayed home. I almost cried missing my kids, but it sure was nice having a clean house and not having pick up or cook. I must admit that I spent a lot of my time cleaning but I did get to do some fun things. I went to Quilted Bear, dinner and a movie "New Moon" with my mom on Friday and then did some shopping and made curtains for Makenzies room on Saturday. I was excited to see my family return home unharmed on Sunday night. Work for both of us has kept us pretty busy. I have been trying to get extra shifts to help pay for Christmas and matt has being trying to get a couple of hours of overtime each week.

Thats all for now. Hopefully I'll have time to download picture for all to see.

Boys Trip

A couple months back when my dad was in town, my brothers and Matt all talked about going to Denver to watch the Jazz first game of the season against the Denver Nuggets. They were able to plan the boys road trip and go watch the game. The Game was last Wednesday. So Matt and my brothers left Tuesday night and left just before the storm hit. They got to Denver about 2:30am and the last couple of hour driving, they were driving in snow. They woke up and chilled at my dad townhouse for the day. They went out to dinner before the game. They had 9th row seats across from the Jazz bench. Unfortunately the Jazz lost, but they all had a great time. On Thursday it snowed all day so they did not get to do much site seeing. They left Friday morning and got back into town around 5:30pm. Matt had a great time of not dealing with work or having to take care of the kids.
So for 4 days I got to experience what it is like to be a single parent. It was difficult at times, but it was not to bad. I took time off from work due to not wanting to get a babysitter @ 5am. I was able to get things done around the house and got some sleep. Both Carson and Makenzie were sick so we did not go out. We just stayed home and played. I was glad that Matt had a fun and safe trip. I was excited to see him and so were the kids. Since Matt was able to leave for a couple of days, we decided that Matt would take the kids to Logan to see his family and I would stay home so I could have a couple of days to myself. I think that is a fair trade. I sure am looking forward to that, but I sure will miss my family.

Primary Program

Our primary program was given today and they did a wonderful job. I am very glad that it is done and I don't have to worry about it for another year. Luckily I have wonderful counselors and chorister to help make my calling easier. Our theme was "My Eternal Family" and all year long we talked about our families and returning back to our Heavenly Father. My stress level kept going up as this last week progressed. I worried about not having the children show up and them not sitting reverently while on the stand. I was amazed by how many showed up and how well they did. We have sacrament last and so while we were practising I was already starting to cry. Their were times during the program I would tear up and when it was my turn to talk at the end, I had to compose myself in order to talk. I thought it went extremely well. I really do love my calling and am grateful for it.

4 months old

Our cute Makenzie is now 4 months old. She is getting so big so fast. She did have her doctors appointment this past week and she is very healthy. She did get shots and cried really hard for a minute and then calmed down. When we got home I gave her medicine to help with the pain. I had to go to work that night so I told Matt to keep an eye on her. Well she had quite the fit and screamed for half an hour. Matt finally gave her a little bit more medicine, even though it was not time for more, and she was able to calm herself down to go to sleep. Poor girl. What a ruff day. Her stats are as follows:

Lenght - 26 1/2 inches

Weight - 18 lbs 9 oz

Head - 43 cm

She was off the charts. We have one big baby. She does not look 4 months but she sure is cute. She loves to be held, can roll over, laugh, smiles all the time, loves to chew on her hands, only wants a pacifier when she wants to sleep, and lets you know when she is tired or hungry. She really is such a calm and mellow baby. We just love her and so does Carson. He can't wait until she can play with him.

We decided to take some pictures. I thought I would share them with you. (Mind you I am not a perfect driver and I have been guilty of doing the things mentioned. )

1- I really, really don't like being suck behind one car (making me #2 in line) when that car is going straight and I need to turn right. Most of the time I cannot get past them to turn, so I have to wait for the light to turn green in order for the car to move forward so I can turn. This almost always happens to me when I am on redwood road trying to turn onto 35 south. I get really frustrated having to wait. I think they should leave the right lane clear for those that are turning right and those going straight can get over into the right lane after the light. (only in my perfect world)

2- It really, really bugs me when people are turning left on a red light and I have a green light to turn left. I end up spending some of my green light turn time waiting for those people to drive threw who think that where they need to go is more important than my destination. I think that there should be a two second time period where all lights are red for those to finish driving threw. Then I and the cars behind or in front of me can use all of the time allowed on a green left turn arrow.

Basically I much prefer driving at 5 am when they are no cars on the road. I have gotten used to that so I tend to get frustrated more often now when I drive during rush hour.

Food Poisoning

Matt and I went to a wedding Friday night. The ceremony was great and they had a dinner afterwards before the reception. Because of having two small children we waited until the line died down to go and get our food. They had salads, pulled chicken sandwich's, fruit, chips, and brownies. We ate and the food tasted good. We had visited with family and had pictures taken and the gift given so we decided to go home. Carson was getting fussy and Makenzie was falling asleep. On the drive home I started to feel sick to my stomach. When we got home Matt took care of the kids and put them to bed while I went to lay down. As the night progressed I got sicker. Finally around 10:30 that night I was able to throw-up and I felt so much better, but still sick. Matt came to bed around 11:30 because he was feeling sick as well. Around 2:30 Matt threw-up and he felt better. All night Matt and I kept taking turns with the bathroom.

We got woken up Saturday by Makenzie and we were both so tired and weak. I tried to get a hold of my mom to see if she could take Carson off our hands for awhile but I was unable too. My brother said he could watch Carson but a work activity got in the way. When I finally talked to my mom she as well got sick and so did one of my uncles and cousin. So that confirmed our thought of food poisoning. We did not want to eat anything, but we were very thirsty. So we kept drinking lots of water and eating otter pops. Matt was the trooper and allowed me to take some naps while he watched the kids and the BYU football game. I also got the body aches and was hot and cold at the same time. By dinner time I was feeling a lot better and watched the kids while Matt went to lay down. Matt slept the rest of the night while I put the kids to bed and picked up our house.

Today we feel back to normal and were able to eat food. I have never had food poisoning before so it was all new to me. I truly hope that I never experience it again because it was not fun.

FOOTBALL SEASON

Football Season is officially here. Today is the first day of games being played. Playing tonight is the UofU against Utah State. Matt and I went to Utah State so we will be cheering for them even though we know they will lose. BYU plays this saturday and we will be having a party at my parents house to watch the game. My whole family likes BYU except my one brother who likes the UofU. Matt has looked forward to football season for the past month and is excited that it has arrived. Football is Matt's favorite sport and he has introduced Carson to is already.

P.S. The background is in honor of Matt's favorite sport.

UP-DATES

Makenzie is three months old. Time sure has gone by fast. She is now sleeping in her own room and sleeping most of the night. She goes to bed around 8:30 and wakes up around 6:30. She is smiling all the time, becoming more talkative and loves to chew on her hands. She is so sweet.

Carson thinks clothing is optional. He is always trying the take is clothes off and if he succeeds the diaper is next. To him it is a game and not so much fun for me. He has learned how to open doors so we had to buy the door knob covers so he can't get into things like the bathroom to play in the toilet. His favorite word is "shark" and he loves being outside. I do not look forward to winter and being locked up inside.

I have had to change my work schedule so I now have Mondays off and work the rest of the week. It is going to take some getting use to. I am done working out with a personal trainer so now I am on my own. Luckily I have a brother to go to the gym with who knows his stuff. I have really not lost much weight yet, due to my poor eating habits. So I still look like I am pregnant and have around 50 lbs to lose. I guess since it took me 9 months to put the weight on I have 9 months to try and lose it. I really hope it does not take that long. My clothing is pretty sparse and am in need of new clothes.

Matt is doing well at Wells Fargo. They are keeping him pretty busy with training new employees. Lately he has been thinking about going to back to school. Either get a Masters or another Bachelors in a different field. He has also toyed with the idea of Law school so will see what the future brings. He is excited for football season to start and has three fantasy football teams. The love of football has already begun in Carson and gets excited when it is on T.V. I hope it is something the two of them can do together.

Dr. Check-ups

Last week I took Makenzie to the doctors for her 2 month check-up and here are her stats:

Length- 24 1/2 inches
Weight- 14 lbs 13 oz
Head- 41 cm

Basically she is a little chunkster. She has very chubby checks and legs and it looks so cute on her. She is healthy and the only minor problem is that she sounds congested all the time. The doctor said it should go away by the time she is 4 months old. If not then we might have to see a specialist. She does seem to be doing better so lets hope it goes away on its own. She is starting to smile and talk and likes to eat her hands.

Carson went to the doctor today for his 18 month check-up and here are his stats:

Length- 34 inches
weight - 25 lbs 2 oz

So he is tall and skinny. I filled out a questionnaire of about 20 questions to see if he is showing any signs of autism and he is not which I am glad to hear. It has always been a worry in the back of my mind. Carson is very active and does not know how to sit still. His vocabulary is starting to come along. Some of the words he knows how to say, that we can understand what he is saying, are: Stir, Dog, Duck, Hi, Bye, Baby, Mom, dad, Grandpa, Grandma, More, Fruit, Cheese, Shark, Car, Truck, and Flower. It is nice to finally understand what he wants. The down side to him getting older is that he now throws fits when he does not get what he wants or gets into trouble.

So my kids are so cute and I just love them.

Back to work

Well my wonderful time off from work has come to an end. Seven weeks sure went by fast. I started on Monday and felt like it was my first day on the job. There were some changes that took place while I was gone and I had to learn some new things. It has been nice being back to work to help bring money in and to visit with my friends. I really do have a good job and am greatful for it. It allows Matt and I to work and not have to pay for daycare.
Matt has taken over the night time feedings and we have had some struggles with that. I wake up only to wake Matt up to feed Makenzie and then it takes me awhile to fall asleep or I just stay awake because I have to get up to go to work at 5:00am. I have not been able to get both kids to take a nap at the same time so I feel like I walk around like a zombie at times. At least it does not last forever.
I was reading my parenting magazine and it listed a top ten ironies of motherhood and the first one listed fits me prefectly about working. It reads "That you could miss your little ones so much all day at work but be unbelievably relieved when they fall asleep an hour after you get home". If only they would fall asleep.

Makenzies Baby Blessing

We had Makenzies Baby Blessing on July 5th. We had family in town due to the holiday and thought that Sunday would be best. A couple of weeks earlier my mom found a box with my baby blessing dress and gave it to me. So we had Makenzie blessed in the same dress that I wore when I was blessed. I plan in keeping it to pass on if the time comes. She looked very cute in it.

Makenzie Rose Meldrum

She is 5 1/2 weeks old

Matt did a great job on the blessing. I had my mom write down what he said so she can read it whenever she wants to. Of course Carson started to cry when Matt started to talk. Thankfully a friend came and took Carson out in the hallway so I could listen to the blessing. We had a family picture taken afterwards while we all still looked nice. We went to my parents house to have a nice lunch and visit with everyone. When everyone left to go home and we came home I was very tired from such a long and busy weekend.

Happy 4th of July

So our day started out with going to my parents house for a nice breakfast that my dad cooked. Then my parents were nice enough to watch them while Matt and I went to see the Transformers 2 movie. It is hard for us to go to the movie theater these days. I wonder why:) When the movie was over we picked the kids up and headed home. I had to make deserts for our food assignment for the BBQ at my brothers house in Tooele. We had a great time filled with good food, great family and friends, football, volleyball, water balloons, and illegal fireworks.

We had to take some cute pictures of their outfits. I took them in the morning and Carson was not in the mood to have is picture taken. It was hard to get him to sit still and not have Makenzie fall over. We got some OK shots. He was a little scared and did not know what to make of them. He did enjoy watching the fireworks. We were lighting fireworks off for about an hour and still had some leftover. We also were able to see the city fireworks from where my brother lives. When I got home Makenzie was on the couch and Matt and Carson were not around. I figured they must be up stairs when I heard Matt shouting for me. I walk upstairs to our bathroom to find Carson in the tub and Matt taking off his diaper. Come to find out Carson had a really bad blowout and got diarrhea everywhere. He had been sitting in it and it was everywhere on the floor. Thank goodness for wood floors. We have a drawer in our kitchen that holds pens, markers, and odd items. He thinks it is fun to grab a marker and draw on our floor. Luckily it comes off pretty easy with some cleaner. We knew buying a house with would floors would have its benefits, but I did not see drawing on them as one of them. Everyday I become more thankful that we have wood floors and not carpet.

Still alive and loving life :)

We have been home for almost a week now and we are all still adjusting. I think Carson has had the hardest time with it, which is to be expected. In addition to a new baby, Carson decided to climb out of his crib which was already on the lowest setting. So we had to put the toddler rail up because we did not want him to fall every time. I was hoping to deal with this when he was around 2, but he had other plans for us. The first couple of nights he would not sleep in his bed, he would sleep on the bean bag. Then when we went to bed Matt would move him to his bed. Then tonight Carson climbed into bed himself and stayed there. So I think we are making progress with the toddler bed.
While Matt and I were in the hospital Carson had his first molar come through. My poor mom had to deal with it. I think the tooth situation would have gone better had Matt or I been around because Carson was fussy and moody and did not want to sleep. We are still dealing with many emotions so it makes me wonder if we have more teeth on the way. Speaking of teeth, when should you start taking them to the dentist. Matt keeps insisting I should make an appointment, but I think it is to soon. Any suggestions would be great.
Makenzie is a great baby. She is completely opposite of how Carson was. She sleeps great during the night only waking up once, she is easy to calm down when crying, she is very content and mellow, and will take a pacifier. I love Carson, but he was not an easy baby. I hoped that I got all the bad things out of the way with Carson and that the rest of the kids would be easy. So far that seems to hold true.
Carson is doing well with Makenzie. He tries to be the big helper with feeding and burping. He like to hold her, push the swing, take her pacifier out of her mouth, share his toys, give her kisses and hugs. He gets mad if you push his hand away from her or take her of his lap. He is always saying "baby" and pointing towards her with a big smile on his face. You can tell he is excited to have her around.
I am doing well with recovering. I am able to move around more and take care of my kids. I have been able to get out of the house a couple of times which has been nice. I see my doctor next week to check the incision. The only think I have to keep reminding myself is that I still cannot do the things I used to do yet. I still have to take it easy and try not to pick Carson up to much.
Matt has been a great help. He takes the middle of the night feeding so I can sleep (which I don't because I am the one waking Matt up to feed Makenzie). He has helped with cleaning and starting on Monday will have to help . I don't look forward to him going back to work next week because that means I am on my own. That will be a challenge and hopefully I will learn how to handle two kids quickly.

Cute Makenzie Pictures

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5341296746305927170" style="FLOAT: right; She has a big head and broad shoulders so it made it a little difficult to come out. She had quite the set of lungs on her when she was born and did not stop crying until she was all wrapped up in blankets and in Matt's hands. She looks like how Carson was when he was born. She is a good mix of Matt and I and we cannot tell who she looks like more. She does have hair and very light eyebrows, so her hair might turn light over time. She sleeps a lot and seem to be very mellow and content. Only cries when she is frustrated with feeding and cold. She like to be bundled up and takes a pacifier well. We had Carson meet her today and new that she was a baby and that was about it. It did have a hard time with me not being able to pick him up. So i think that is going to be our number one struggle for the next while. I am doing well and seem to be recovering a lot faster this time. It has been nice to have Matt here 24/7 and having him help and entertain me. My mom is watching Carson, bless her, for Carson has been quite the handful. We owe her big time. I have not downloaded the pictures yet. That is one thing i will work on tomorrow and then you all can see how cute she is. We just love her!

Still Pregnant

I went to the doctors yesterday for another check up and an ultrasound. The ultrasound is guessing the baby is around 8 lbs 14 oz. So she is big almost like Carson was and is still a girl. She does not have much room to move around and I can feel it. I did not get to meet with my doctor because he is out of town so I met with another doctor. I had to wait about 45 min before I got to see her. The interesting thing is their where not very many patients, so why it took so long I don't know. She was friendly and did a quick exam. She measured my belly, listened to the heart, and did an internal exam and that was it. It lasted about 5 min if that and then I was done. I am not dilated, but 50% effaced. So I went ahead and scheduled a c-section for wed May 27 @5:00 pm. I also scheduled another doctor apt for Tues with my Doctor for one finial exam. He said if I can be dilated to a 2 and 50% effaced then he would induce me. If not then we would stick with the c-section. So either way the baby is being born next week unless a miracle happens and I go into labor before. I have entered the swelling stage of the feet and ankles and having a harder time sleeping at night. I look forward to not being pregnant and having a newborn.
Matt and I are 99% sure of a name now, but we will make the decision finial when she is born.

10 Years

Well that time in my life has come for my 10 year high school reunion. Time as gone by fast and many things have happened in the past ten years. I was hoping that the reunion was towards the end of summer so I would have more time to lose the baby weight, but that is not the case. It happens to be at the end of June. So much for looking good at your reunion:) They are planning a day activity for all the family to come, which I think is a good idea. you get to meet the offspring of your classmates, nice. Then later that night it is dinner for just you and one guest. Who to bring, that is the question! anyways I am looking forward to seeing those who I experienced 4 magical years with and seeing what has become of them. The people who I really care to keep in touch with I already do, so there really is not anyone in particular I am dying to see. It will be fun and I am excited to attend such an event.

Pregnancy Update

I went to the doctors yesterday for a check-up. Everything is going well. I am measuring big just like I did with Carson. I was measuring 38 weeks along and I am only 35 weeks. So another big baby. I go to the doctors in 2 weeks and from there once a week. Hopefully we can do another ultrasounds to see just how big she is and figure out our options for when she is born. We are slowing getting things ready for her. We at least have a place for her to sleep and some clothes and diapers. We still don't have a name and we probably won't name her until she is born. So the waiting and being uncomfortable continues.

Carsons 15 month check-up

Carson went to the doctors yesterday for a check-up. His stats are
Length- 33 inches (90% )
weight- 23lbs 6 oz (40%)
He has only gained one pound since his last check-up and that is due to him being so active. She was not concerned at all about that. We talked about his language skills and she was not concerned as well. Carson can communicate with Matt and I even though he does not use many words. He points and will take our hands to what he wants. He did get some shots and cried a lot longer than he normally does. He kept on trying to pull the band-aids off. I think part of it was due to a not very long morning nap. By night time he was just fine. My sister-in-law had her water break in the afternoon and then they called the doctor. He said to head to the hospital, in Brigham city. At 11:24pm he was born. He was small at 6 lbs 2 oz 19 inches. They named him Zaden. He looks like just like Caige when he was born and they both look like my brother. Mom and baby are doing fine and they are already home. It was fun to hold and new baby again and it is getting me excited for when I have my in about 5 weeks.

Happy Anniversary

Matt and I have been married for four years now. Our wedding anniversary was on April 14. This year we did not do anything special. We both went to work and watched American idol that night. I did manage to make a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. Some years you just don't have the money to do anything and sometimes those are the most memorable. Plus having children and being very pregnant makes it hard to do something fun. Next year we are planning on a trip to "who knows where" so will see if that really happens. It is fun to look back on the years of marriage and see all the things that have happened and been accomplished and then look forward to what the future might bring. Happy Anniversary Matt. I love you!

Happy Easter

We celebrated Easter on Saturday with my family. We went to my parents house to have a Easter egg hunt and dinner. My brother and his family came from tooele so every one was there except my dad who was in Denver. Matt and my brother went outside to hide the eggs for Carson and Caige (my nephew who is 2 1/2) to find. Cagie caught on to the concept quickly, Carson not so much. He would find eggs and then hand them to you. When he would get some in his basket he would shake it and they would all come out. It was fun and cute to watch. Towards the end he caught on to the idea, but still needed help finding the eggs. Caige would even find the eggs and put them in Carson basket for him. It took about 10 min for everything to be found. We went inside to open some of the eggs and Carson was more interested in the egg than what was inside. Then it was time for a nice dinner. Matt and I did not do anything this year for Easter, (I know were bad parents) but Carson did get things from my parents. I think being this young still he does not know the difference. Next year I will make sure we do something and also teach him why Easter is an important holiday to celebrate and remember.

New Job :)

Matt has been applying for a service manager job which the the next step up in his career for quiet some time. There were a couple of times when it was between Matt and another person and the other person always got the job. Matt was frustrated a couple of times, but still did his current job as a personal banker well. Another opening became available and Matt applied. The interview went well and he was told that there was another person that was being considered for the job. Matt thought that once again he would not get the job. He had the interview on Friday and would be told by Wed if he got the job. Matt came home from work that night and told me to get ready to go out. We were planning on going to Wal-mart to do some grocery shopping so I was in some gym shorts and t-shirt. So I was confused on why I needed to get dressed. He said that Carson was going to my moms house and Matt and I were going out to eat because he got the service manager job. I was shocked and very excited at the same time. So we went to the Olive Garden to celebrate. That night Matt could not sleep because he was too excited about his new job. It is not much of a pay raise but every little bit helps. Hopefully in the near future I will be able to stop working and just stay home. Congratulation Matt!

The many flowers to come

I was making dinner last night and Matt took Carson outside to entertain him for a couple of minutes while I finished everything. I was very excited to accept them. Then they went back outside to play some more. I got a little emotional over the jester of having your son hand you flowers. So Matt played around with some things seeing if something got disconnected or if our wireless connector was having problems. Well he could not figure out what the problem was. So on Tuesday we went over to my mom house to see if we can connect to the Internet there, no such luck. My mom had a wireless card to plug into the computer and that seemed to work. So Matt thought that we needed to buy a wireless adaptor. or something internally was broken. My brother, who knows is stuff when it comes to computers, looked at our computer and chastised us for not having protection programs and that our computer had too many bugs/virus to count and that could be the problem of why we could not connect to the Internet. So last night he came over to fix our computer. We had to save all our files and documents to his computer because we needed to reformat our computer and start all over again form scratch. Matt was not happy with this idea because he did not think that it would solve the problem and he would lose all the time and energy spent into playing Diablo. At one point he wanted to by another computer so that he would not lose his game. Well after much arguing, we finally let my brother do his thing. The computer got fixed and we now have protection on our computer so we don't have any more problems in the future. Computers are so much fun!

Welcome Home Markus

Today Matt's younger brother, Markus, came home from his mission. He served in New Hampshire. We almost missed greeting him coming off the escalator due to driving around the airport three times because Matt kept missing the parking lane. Needless to say, we were able to see him and welcome him back home. He really did not change much and he acts pretty much the same. Two years is a long time, but it went by fast. He got to meet Carson for the first time as well. It did take Carson some time to warm up to him, but that was to be expected. We picked up his luggage and then had to wait for Matt's mom to show up at the airport because she was running late. Once everyone said hello, we went back to our place for lunch and more visiting and story telling. After a couple of hours to talking, they had to get to Logan so he could be released. Markus was a great missionary and we are all so proud him. We are glad that he is home.

NEW CAR!

Matt and I have been in the market for a new vehicle for well over a year. We knew what we wanted in the vehicle, it was just a matter of what make and model. We wanted an SUV to handle our growing family and to travel comfortably. We liked the idea of being high up on the road and the safety a larger vehicle can give you versus a car. Well this past week my little Hyundai Accent had started to show signs of needed lots of work or retiring, which ever came first. So we started the search yet again to see what deals are out there. We looked at used and new cars and did many comparisons. We also had many talks of how much we could afford for a monthly payment. Both of our cars are paid for and we have not had a car payment for a couple of years. So I had a list of about 10 used cars that we could take a look at and then if we did not find anything we liked then look towards new cars. So on Saturday we packed Carson and ourselves up and headed to Layton to look at some cars. The first car that we looked at was a 2007 Chrysler Aspen 4x4 limited and the search ended. I was afraid that if we saw this one first, we would not look at any other ones and that is exactly what happened. We took it for a test drive and loved how it drove and handled. We talked about numbers because that was a main concern of ours. We wanted to know the monthly payment so we could compare it to other vehicles. Well after much talk and another test drive we decided to get it. It has low miles, the price is way below blue book, it has 3rd row seats, and many other features that we liked. We tend to drive cars for long periods of time, so we liked how it had low miles and room to expand our family without having to upgrade the vehicle later on in life. We don't have buyers remorse and are extremely excited to have a larger more reliable vehicle. It is going to take a while to get used to driving something so big when you have driven a small car for many years. We still have the accent and are now deciding what the best option is for the car. I am glad we have something that will last for a long time and that I don't have to worry about car shopping anymore. Its not my favorite.

Carson story time

Carson is growing up so fast. I really like this age. It is very rewarding and hard at the same time. With spring in the air, we have been going on walks and playing at the playground. Carson loves playing in the sand box. He also likes to eat the sand. He also likes to poke the wood chips with a stick. It is fun to watch him explore and learn new things. When we are inside he points to the outside indicating he wants to go out. When we are outside and it is time to come in he throws a fit. I don't mind being outside, so I am glad he likes it.
Last Thursday we played in the sand box and when we got home he was ready to take a nap. I took his clothes off because they were full of sand and laid him in his crib with just a diaper on. Bad idea. When he woke up, I found the diaper on the floor and the sheets soaked in pee. Needless to say, Carson went straight into the tub and the sheets and blankets into the washier. I could not help but laugh. I did feel bad about Carson sleeping in his own pee, so sleeping in just a diaper will not happen again. Another learning experience for me.
On Friday night, all three of us were in our bedroom playing. I mentioned to Matt that his Rubik's cube was still under the bed. Matt tried to reach for it, but failed. The bed frame is only a couple of inches off the ground, so you cannot crawl under it and it is to heavy to be lifted. So he enlisted Carson to help him. He crawled under the bed and retrieved the Rubik's cube with ease. It was funny to watch. One of the many reason why to have children.
Tonight we needed to give Carson a shower due to sweet potato and bananas in his hair. So Matt hoped in the shower while I took care of Carson's dirty diaper. I got Carson all wiped up and he was crawling on our bed without a diaper on,(while I was finishing up dealing with the dirty diaper) only to pee where Matt sleeps. I handed Carson to Matt in the shower and tried to clean up the mess. I hope I was successful. We now will be putting our mattress pad on the bed tomorrow after it has air dried. Yet another learning experience for me.
I just love being a mom. I love the way Carson's face lights up when he sees me, the hugs he gives me when he gets really excited, the messy kisses and the countless little traits that he has.

Carson - Crib = playing in room

So I went to put Carson down for his morning nap and then I went to lay down as well. I could not sleep due to having a cold and constantly coughing. So instead of lying in bed wishing I could fall asleep, I decided to go downstairs and watch basketball ( it is the NCAA tournament). As I was leaving my bedroom I heard movements from Carson's room and saw a shadow move under his door. I look inside his room and Carson was playing with his toys. I don't know how he got out of his crib. He did not fall out because I did not hear him cry. So now we have to lower his crib. It will then be on the last setting and then comes the toddler bed. Matt will be doing that tonight when he gets home from work. Now it will be even harder to lay him down. Such is life. I was just very surprised to see him playing and not in his crib.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATT

So today is Matt birthday. I would say how old he is, but I don't know if he would appreciate that. Anyway, Matt took the day off from work and I only worked this morning. When I got home from work Matt made himself a nice big breakfast, while I and Carson took a nap. I know, I know I should have been the good wife who made the breakfast for him, but he was fine with making it and I really did need some sleep since I had been up since 4:30am. So I woke up and Matt was content on playing on the computer as his plan B. He did want to go golfing, but since it snowed that was no longer an option. So he played while I took care of Carson. Then we went to the mall to look at basketball shoes, but they did not have any in his size. He wears a size 14 and it is hard to find shoe for him.
We then dropped Carson off at a friends house while Matt and I went to Red Lobster for an early dinner/late lunch. Matt has always wanted to go their to eat, so his birthday was a great excuse. I don't like seafood, but Matt loves it. So he got his fill of seafood and I ate steak. It was nice to get out of the house and away from Carson ( who I love dearly) and enjoy some time with just Matt. We then picked Carson up and made a mad dash back home to watch the tip off for the Jazz. Matt wanted to watched the Jazz as part of his birthday so that's what we did. It was even better that they won. Now Matt is playing basketball at the church to top the night off. So I hope he had a great birthday and that he got to do the things he wanted to do. What he wanted for his birthday present was a nice, not to mention expensive, pair of basketball shoes. So he ordered them from the Nike website. He was especially excited that he could custom make them and have them look how he wanted them to.
So Happy Birthday Matt! I love you and am greatful for all that you do and that I get to spend eternity with you.

Breaking the Sabeth

So i did something that I don't think I will ever do again, but it was something that was out of my hands. I went to a music concert. Not just any music concert, but the one, the only, Celine Dion. The concert was rescheduled for February 22, instead of sometime last November. Celine was sick in November when she was supposed to come into town. So they scheduled it for a Sunday and I was having mixed emotions about going to a concert on a Sunday. I went with my mom as a stand in because my dad was unable to make it. So I did not have to pay for my ticket, luckily. The concert was great and I had a really great time. I was definitely ready to leave towards the end. Being pregnant and siting at the Energy Solutions Arena for 3 hours is not very comfortable. Overall the concert was great and I personally think that she has one of the most purest voices and makes sing so effortless. There are not to many singers out there who can sing like she can.

Oh, the joys of being Pregnant

So it is 12:30 in the morning and I cannot sleep. I am so exhausted from being up early for work and then dealing with life as a mom and wife, and yet I cannot sleep. Most nights I just lie in bed waiting for sleep to come while tossing and turning and it usually comes in the wee hours of the morning. Most mornings I feel like I just fell asleep only to have my alarm go off at 4:30am. I only have how many more months of this. Its a good thing the end result is worth it.

Other things that I have noticed or payed more attention to is my taste and smell senses. I get asked the "do you have any cravings" question every now and then, and I usually don't. But the one thing that I craved towards the end of being pregnant with Carson was smarties. Well I have already started that craving with this pregnancy. I just cannot get enough of them. Luckily I don't need to eat them all the time, mostly when I am at work. The funny things is when I had Carson and went back to work, I tried some smarties again and they did not taste that great. So it is definitely a pregnancy thing.

At the beginning months of being pregnant the one smell that really got to me was Carson dirty diapers. I had to hold my breath many times and have Matt change them. The smell was very much intensified. Also I could not handle roast cooking in the crock pot. I could handle eating it, but not smelling it cook. I have since over come these smells and can handle them just fine. Now their are smells that smell exceptionally good. This would be bleach mixed with water, almost like an indoor pool smell and Matt old spice deodorant. WEIRD I KNOW. (it is confession night). Well see how long these smells last.

So besides all the quarks of being pregnant all is well. She is moving all the time and I am getting more and more excited of having another little one.

Carsons 12 month checkup

So Carson went to the doctors last week for his 12 months check up. I was one of the first appointment after lunch so I did not have to wait long. So his stats are:

Length - 33 inches (90%)
weight - 22 lbs 10 oz (40%)
Head - i don't remember the number, but is still small (40%)

Carson is as healthy as a horse. He is advanced in his motor skills and very strong. The doctor said that children who are advanced in motor have the their speech come later than normal. So that made me feel better about Carson. He does a lot of babbling and pointing towards things, you just cannot understand him. Oh well that will come with time. He did get 2 shoots and was the little trooper. He cried for about 2 minutes and then was ready to play. Later that night he was very clingy and whinny. So it looks like Carson is going to be tall and skinny. The perfect body for basketball or football :) wishful thinking.

Muchly needed new car seat

So Carson has out grown his infant car seat a couple of months a go, but he has been very patient in dealing with it. It has been on our list of things to buy and finally we just broke down a bought it with the extra money we had. So we were going down to see some friends in Payson and though that Carson would enjoy the ride more if he was in a front facing car seat. So we go to target because we had some gift cards to help cover the cost. We find one that we really like and expensive no less. It is one that can convert has they get older and end up being just a booster seat. So we go ahead a buy it and think that we can just put it together in the target parking lot for the drive down. Well that did not happen. It was taking to much time and we had one more stop before the drive. So we get to our last stop and Matt runs in while I try to put the car seat together. I got it about half way done when Matt gets back to the car. I then go inside the store to get my things while Matt finished putting it together. We finally got everything situated and Carson transferred over. Just as we started the drive to Payson, Carson started to cry and cry and cry. Nothing I did would calm him down. We thought we were going to be good parents and face him forward to enjoy the ride and that was very short lived. I think he was tired of running around and just wanted movement and freedom. It took us about 45 min to get to Payson and Carson did not stop crying until we got to our friends house and got him out of the car seat. So Carson's first experience with the new car seat was not great one. We did not put him in it on the drive home. We wanted him to have something familiar to stay asleep in. So hopefully the next car ride for him will be less traumatic.

IT'S A GIRL!

We went to the doctors today to have an ultrasound and found out we are having a girl. I was really excited about the news. I was also glad to hear that the baby is doing fine. She looks health and appears not to have any signs of problems. That is always one of my fears up until the ultrasound is that there might be a problem. It was fun to see the organs and bones and to see her moving around. She was about 13 oz which is bigger than average. We saw my doctor after the ultrasound and he said that i just grow big babies. So we will be monitoring the size of her when her due date approaches to know when to have her be born. So that means she could be born at the end of May instead of June. So now we get the pleasure of starting over, but this time in pink and purple. I think Carson is going to be a great big brother and even bigger helper. We don't have any names set in stone but many that we like.

New Calling

Well I got a new calling in our ward. While we were driving, my car (Hyundai Accent), reached the 100,000 mile mark. I have put every mile driven on it. I bought the Car brand new when I was done with high school and became a working girl. I never thought that I would have had my car that long. It has been a good little car and we plan on keeping it until it can no longer drive. Who knows how much longer it will be. In July I will have had it for 10 years. Sadly enought it does better in the winter time than the mustang. We plan on going car shopping this year before the next winter season is upon us. We also need a bigger car to support our growing family.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARSON

Well my baby is not a baby anymore. Carson turned 1 on December 30. He was born in the morning so on my way home from work when the clock said 9:01 I remembered seeing him and hearing him cry for the first time. I must admit there were a couple of times during the day that I felt like crying. We had a party for Carson that night with my family. I made cupcakes and Carson loved it. It was french vanilla with milk chocolate frosting. As soon as we sang happy birthday and I helped Carson blow out his candle he dug right in. He seriously shoved have of it into his mouth and tried to eat it. He kind of choked a couple of times. He did really well about eating most of it and enjoyed every bite. I also gave him some ice cream, which he loves, in between cake bites. We then opened presents and Carson did better at opening them, then he did on Christmas day. He got lots of fun toys and clothes. He had fun playing with the toys with his cousin who is 2. Overall it was a great day. The following day we did have some side effects. He was very clingy and whinny because he was experiencing his sugar low and their was nobody for him to play with except me. We got through the day.

P.S. I cannot find my SD card to transfer my picture to the computer to download so hopefully I will find it soon and post pictures of the fun event.

Merry Christmas!

Well we had a fun and crazy Christmas day. Matt was so excited that he woke up around 6:30am and I finally got out of bed around 7:30am. When i came down stairs I told him that we had to wait for one more family member to wake up before we could open our presents. Ya that did not last. Matt and I opened our presents to each other and then went a got Carson because he was awake. We feed him his breakfast first and then attempted to open presents with him. Matt and I finished opening our present with our main present being the Wii. Then we helped Carson open his presents. Of course being almost one he did not care about what was happening. We then ate breakfast of caramel rolls and omelets. I made breakfast while Matt was putting the Wii together. We played for a bite and then I was ready for a nap. When I woke up Matt's mom had shown up and about an hour later his dad and siblings should up (Matt's parents are divorced). Matt has a brother on a mission so we had dinner at our place while we waited for the phone call. While we were waiting for the phone call everyone played the Wii while I was in the kitchen cooking dinner. I really did not mind. It was nice to talk to Matt's brother and hear about the things he is doing. After we were done talking everyone left except Matt's mom. When they left to go home is when the big storm finally hit. I had never seen lightening while it snowed. Crazy.

I went to bed at my normal time because I had to go to work the following morning unplanned. Matt got up with me to dig out my car from the snow. The roads were really bad because they had not been plowed. Even the freeway was bad. You could not see the lines and everyone was driving 30 mph. I even saw some one spin and do a 360. It was pretty scary. Luckily I made it to work and back without any accidents. I did not go out until that night when Matt, Me, and his dad and siblings all went to the Jazz game. We had a good time and even to free Jazz blankets. The Jazz did win their game against the Dallas Mavericks. We then preceded to drive very late a night to Ogden canyon where Matt's dad had rented a condo for the week. So we spent last night there. The drive was very scary because the roads were covered in ice. The drive home today was much better.

Overall we had a fun Christmas that lasted a couple of days and it is now nice to just sit and relax. A saying that I would like to end with to help up remember what Christmas is all about is "Will you be part of the INN crowed or the STABLE few?"

New Homeowners

So Matt and I just bought our townhouse in June. We are still used to the apartment living where if you have a problem you just call the maintenance people and they will come and fix whatever for you. Well we cannot do that any more and have to take care of it ourselves. We also have to shovel our own snow and so forth. Well the snow fell this weekend with the hose, inflatable pool, grill, and a bucket still outside. They are now covered in snow. We also have been having problems with our furnace and don't know what to do. This are all things we did not think about when we wanted to buy a place. I guess it is a learning process that we have to go through. Hopefully next winter when that first storm comes we will be better prepared.

EXCITING NEWS!!

Well the time has come to offically announce that we are having another baby. So I go upstairs and was gone for just a few minutes, I came back downstairs to find Carson covered in formula. He had gotten into the diaper bag, pulled out his can of formula, took the lid off and was playing with the formula. He was taking handfuls of it out and dumping it on the floor. He also tried to eat it so he had formula powder all over his mouth and clothes. It was so funny I could not help but laugh. He had that look on his face of, "look mom what I did all by myself. Do you want to play". He had a big smile on his face. Of course I did not think of taking any pictures until the mess was all cleaned up. I was more concerned about the formula and not having it dumped all over the place because it is not cheap. And has fate would have it, Matt called in the middle of cleaning it up so I had to put him on hold until the job was done. Matt just laughed when I told him. It was pretty funny!

FUN FALL PICTURES

I WANTED TO TAKE SOME FUN FALL PICTURES BEFORE THE LEAVES WENT AWAY AND THE SNOW FELL. I finally get to relax. Carson is such a handful. He is constantly on the move, does not know how to sit still for more than 5 sec, and is always getting into things that he shouldn't be. I only hope that he will have this same energy later on in life and we can put to towards something useful, like sports.

Carson is growing so fast. He recently has learn to clap his hands, smack his lips and click his tongue, and walking. Most people say they would rather not have their kids walk, but I cannot wait. I look forward to the day when I don't have to carry him. I am already chasing him all over the place so it won't be that different. He only say "Ba" and "ma" still and knows how to act when mom is watching him and when dad is watching him. At church today while Matt and I were having choir practise, Carson decided to climb down the stairs by the organ and fell hard. He started screaming and I tried to calm him down. He ended up with a nice bump on his head. The funny thing about is he was fine in about 5 min and was ready to play again. Maybe that is a good thing, maybe not. Only time will tell.

Matt and I have fantasy basketball teams. Basketball is the one sport I don't mind watching all the time. It is fun having a fantasy team because I end up paying more attention to what is going on especially teams other than the Jazz. Last year Matt and I had teams that what part of a league and when the season was over and a winner was declared, they got taken out to dinner for free. Well luck was on my side and I won. I don't think that will happen this season but it is to early to tell.

My camera battery has been dead so I have not taken any picture lately. I just charged it yesterday so hopefully their will be some fun pictures taken in the near future.

Confession

I have been listening to ............ I was so excited about getting it. Carson was 6 weeks old and I was feeling not so pretty as most of you can relate to. So I was excited about the idea of spending the day at the spa while Matt watched Carson. Well many months went by and the gift certificate just sat hidden amongst many papers. Every now and then Matt would ask me when I was going to use the gift certificate. I have to admit I was a little nervous about going to the spa for the day because I have never done something like that before. So I would always reply soon. You always here women talking about if they had a day to do what ever they wanted that the spa would be the ideal location.
Well Matt was asking me about when I wanted to go to the spa and once again I said soon. So he said well how about if I take Wednesday off and you go to the spa. I said OK and called to make the appointment. Well as today was growing closer I started to get nervous and wondered if the way the spa was portrayed on T.V was how it really was. I showed up and it was similar to what I have seen on T.V. The first thing I had done was a massage, then a facial, and ended with a pedicure. I was there for about 4 hours. I was so relaxed that I did not think much about Matt, Carson, Work, or all the worries that I have. I told Matt, when I got home, that I don't think he knows what he has started. I could easily spend a day at the spa once a month, but I don't think the bank account could support it. So I will have to settle for every now and then. I would highly recommend every women experiencing a day at the spa sometime in their lives. I feel like I am ready to take on the world.

WHEELER FARM

Well the time came for another outing with the Macey's crew. This time we expanded and had two other moms and their children come with us. We are making this a monthy event. We all enjoy getting out of the house and hanging out, outside of work. We went to Wheeler Farm today. We decided to do outside events before the weather turns cold. The weather was really nice and the farm was not crowed. At times it felt like we where the only ones there. We saw cows, horses, a pig, chickens, roosters, and many ducks.

Holy "COW" Amber how many children did you bring :) Our first stop was the cows. Having a member of the family in the military really opens your eyes to what they go through and what kind of people they are. They are the true American Hero's. I think it is sad that America only remembers what has happened on the days that major events took place. We should always be remembering and honoring those lost lives on a daily bases. We should be supporting our troups that are over seas and not fighting about if we should be there or not. We should be looking at the positive things that have happened and not the dealth count and honoring those that have lost their lives for a cause. My dad has been to Iraq twice and a day never goes by that he has regretted going over their and helping a nation. Helping them to obtain what we have in america, what we tend to take for granted, our feedom. My heart goes out to all those who have been affected by war during their life time.So THANK YOU to all our American Soldiers!

UTAH STATE FAIR

On monday Carson and I went to the state fair with my faimly. Matt did no go because he does not like to walk around and look at things. He would raither spend his time riding the rides. So he went to the gym to work out. I like to walk around and look at the things people can create. My favorite building holds all the quilts. I look at them and wish I could create something that great. Carson had a hard time staying in his stroller. He was very clingy and wanted to be held. It is not easy holding a child and pushing a stroller at the same time. Carson did enjoy seeing the animals. Overall we both enjoyed our trip to the zoo.
