Muchly needed new car seat

So Carson has out grown his infant car seat a couple of months a go, but he has been very patient in dealing with it. It has been on our list of things to buy and finally we just broke down a bought it with the extra money we had. So we were going down to see some friends in Payson and though that Carson would enjoy the ride more if he was in a front facing car seat. So we go to target because we had some gift cards to help cover the cost. We find one that we really like and expensive no less. It is one that can convert has they get older and end up being just a booster seat. So we go ahead a buy it and think that we can just put it together in the target parking lot for the drive down. Well that did not happen. It was taking to much time and we had one more stop before the drive. So we get to our last stop and Matt runs in while I try to put the car seat together. I got it about half way done when Matt gets back to the car. I then go inside the store to get my things while Matt finished putting it together. We finally got everything situated and Carson transferred over. Just as we started the drive to Payson, Carson started to cry and cry and cry. Nothing I did would calm him down. We thought we were going to be good parents and face him forward to enjoy the ride and that was very short lived. I think he was tired of running around and just wanted movement and freedom. It took us about 45 min to get to Payson and Carson did not stop crying until we got to our friends house and got him out of the car seat. So Carson's first experience with the new car seat was not great one. We did not put him in it on the drive home. We wanted him to have something familiar to stay asleep in. So hopefully the next car ride for him will be less traumatic.

Dustin did the same thing when we got him his car seat. He thought because he could see Mom and Dad that they should be holding him. He would just reach for us and cry. It didn't take him long to get used to it though. Good luck.

Change can be so overwhelming. Josh liked it being in the middle once we tunred him around becuase he could see through the seats. Just a thought if he's on the side. It is a little harder to get them buckled, but not too bad.

We had the same problem with Abbie the first time we switched her around. Hopefully it will get better soon.
