SPA DAY :)

So a while back, on Valentines day to be exact, Matt gave me a gift certificate to a spa. I was so excited about getting it. Carson was 6 weeks old and I was feeling not so pretty as most of you can relate to. So I was excited about the idea of spending the day at the spa while Matt watched Carson. Well many months went by and the gift certificate just sat hidden amongst many papers. Every now and then Matt would ask me when I was going to use the gift certificate. I have to admit I was a little nervous about going to the spa for the day because I have never done something like that before. So I would always reply soon. You always here women talking about if they had a day to do what ever they wanted that the spa would be the ideal location.
Well Matt was asking me about when I wanted to go to the spa and once again I said soon. So he said well how about if I take Wednesday off and you go to the spa. I said OK and called to make the appointment. Well as today was growing closer I started to get nervous and wondered if the way the spa was portrayed on T.V was how it really was. I showed up and it was similar to what I have seen on T.V. The first thing I had done was a massage, then a facial, and ended with a pedicure. I was there for about 4 hours. I was so relaxed that I did not think much about Matt, Carson, Work, or all the worries that I have. I told Matt, when I got home, that I don't think he knows what he has started. I could easily spend a day at the spa once a month, but I don't think the bank account could support it. So I will have to settle for every now and then. I would highly recommend every women experiencing a day at the spa sometime in their lives. I feel like I am ready to take on the world.

Ah, I don't think I could handle a day at the spa. Maybe the massage part, maybe, but I don't know about having some weird person massaging me. Hmmm.........

I can't do pedicures because all my toes are smashed all the time, and I can't do manicures because I can't handle the filing it's like scratching your fingernails on the chalkboard....

But I'm pretty weird I guess.

YAY! I am so glad that you got an amazing relaxing day! I LOVE going to the spa- my favorite is a little place up in the avenues called The Kura Door- it is a Japanese Holistic spa...holy cow...incredible!
