So i did something that I don't think I will ever do again, but it was something that was out of my hands. I went to a music concert. Not just any music concert, but the one, the only, Celine Dion. The concert was rescheduled for February 22, instead of sometime last November. Celine was sick in November when she was supposed to come into town. So they scheduled it for a Sunday and I was having mixed emotions about going to a concert on a Sunday. I went with my mom as a stand in because my dad was unable to make it. So I did not have to pay for my ticket, luckily. The concert was great and I had a really great time. I was definitely ready to leave towards the end. Being pregnant and siting at the Energy Solutions Arena for 3 hours is not very comfortable. Overall the concert was great and I personally think that she has one of the most purest voices and makes sing so effortless. There are not to many singers out there who can sing like she can.

Oh, the joys of being Pregnant
So it is 12:30 in the morning and I cannot sleep. I am so exhausted from being up early for work and then dealing with life as a mom and wife, and yet I cannot sleep. Most nights I just lie in bed waiting for sleep to come while tossing and turning and it usually comes in the wee hours of the morning. Most mornings I feel like I just fell asleep only to have my alarm go off at 4:30am. I only have how many more months of this. Its a good thing the end result is worth it.
Other things that I have noticed or payed more attention to is my taste and smell senses. I get asked the "do you have any cravings" question every now and then, and I usually don't. But the one thing that I craved towards the end of being pregnant with Carson was smarties. Well I have already started that craving with this pregnancy. I just cannot get enough of them. Luckily I don't need to eat them all the time, mostly when I am at work. The funny things is when I had Carson and went back to work, I tried some smarties again and they did not taste that great. So it is definitely a pregnancy thing.
At the beginning months of being pregnant the one smell that really got to me was Carson dirty diapers. I had to hold my breath many times and have Matt change them. The smell was very much intensified. Also I could not handle roast cooking in the crock pot. I could handle eating it, but not smelling it cook. I have since over come these smells and can handle them just fine. Now their are smells that smell exceptionally good. This would be bleach mixed with water, almost like an indoor pool smell and Matt old spice deodorant. WEIRD I KNOW. (it is confession night). Well see how long these smells last.
So besides all the quarks of being pregnant all is well. She is moving all the time and I am getting more and more excited of having another little one.

Carsons 12 month checkup
So Carson went to the doctors last week for his 12 months check up. I was one of the first appointment after lunch so I did not have to wait long. So his stats are:
Length - 33 inches (90%)
weight - 22 lbs 10 oz (40%)
Head - i don't remember the number, but is still small (40%)
Carson is as healthy as a horse. He is advanced in his motor skills and very strong. The doctor said that children who are advanced in motor have the their speech come later than normal. So that made me feel better about Carson. He does a lot of babbling and pointing towards things, you just cannot understand him. Oh well that will come with time. He did get 2 shoots and was the little trooper. He cried for about 2 minutes and then was ready to play. Later that night he was very clingy and whinny. So it looks like Carson is going to be tall and skinny. The perfect body for basketball or football :) wishful thinking.

Muchly needed new car seat
So Carson has out grown his infant car seat a couple of months a go, but he has been very patient in dealing with it. It has been on our list of things to buy and finally we just broke down a bought it with the extra money we had. So we were going down to see some friends in Payson and though that Carson would enjoy the ride more if he was in a front facing car seat. So we go to target because we had some gift cards to help cover the cost. We find one that we really like and expensive no less. It is one that can convert has they get older and end up being just a booster seat. So we go ahead a buy it and think that we can just put it together in the target parking lot for the drive down. Well that did not happen. It was taking to much time and we had one more stop before the drive. So we get to our last stop and Matt runs in while I try to put the car seat together. I got it about half way done when Matt gets back to the car. I then go inside the store to get my things while Matt finished putting it together. We finally got everything situated and Carson transferred over. Just as we started the drive to Payson, Carson started to cry and cry and cry. Nothing I did would calm him down. We thought we were going to be good parents and face him forward to enjoy the ride and that was very short lived. I think he was tired of running around and just wanted movement and freedom. It took us about 45 min to get to Payson and Carson did not stop crying until we got to our friends house and got him out of the car seat. So Carson's first experience with the new car seat was not great one. We did not put him in it on the drive home. We wanted him to have something familiar to stay asleep in. So hopefully the next car ride for him will be less traumatic.

IT'S A GIRL!
We went to the doctors today to have an ultrasound and found out we are having a girl. I was really excited about the news. I was also glad to hear that the baby is doing fine. She looks health and appears not to have any signs of problems. That is always one of my fears up until the ultrasound is that there might be a problem. It was fun to see the organs and bones and to see her moving around. She was about 13 oz which is bigger than average. We saw my doctor after the ultrasound and he said that i just grow big babies. So we will be monitoring the size of her when her due date approaches to know when to have her be born. So that means she could be born at the end of May instead of June. So now we get the pleasure of starting over, but this time in pink and purple. I think Carson is going to be a great big brother and even bigger helper. We don't have any names set in stone but many that we like.

New Calling
Well I got a new calling in our ward. I did not see this coming and was shocked when they asked me to be the primary president. I did not know what to think. That is a big responsibility to be over all the children in the ward. I am excited and nervous at the same time. Luckily our primary is small so that helps. I have a lot on my mind so I hope I don't forget or overlook something. This will definitely be a learning and growing experience. So if any one has any suggestions or websites that might be helpful, I am open to many ideas.

100,000
So Matt and I were driving back from Ogden Canyon over the Christmas break. While we were driving, my car (Hyundai Accent), reached the 100,000 mile mark. I have put every mile driven on it. I bought the Car brand new when I was done with high school and became a working girl. I never thought that I would have had my car that long. It has been a good little car and we plan on keeping it until it can no longer drive. Who knows how much longer it will be. In July I will have had it for 10 years. Sadly enought it does better in the winter time than the mustang. We plan on going car shopping this year before the next winter season is upon us. We also need a bigger car to support our growing family.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARSON
Well my baby is not a baby anymore. Carson turned 1 on December 30. He was born in the morning so on my way home from work when the clock said 9:01 I remembered seeing him and hearing him cry for the first time. I must admit there were a couple of times during the day that I felt like crying. We had a party for Carson that night with my family. I made cupcakes and Carson loved it. It was french vanilla with milk chocolate frosting. As soon as we sang happy birthday and I helped Carson blow out his candle he dug right in. He seriously shoved have of it into his mouth and tried to eat it. He kind of choked a couple of times. He did really well about eating most of it and enjoyed every bite. I also gave him some ice cream, which he loves, in between cake bites. We then opened presents and Carson did better at opening them, then he did on Christmas day. He got lots of fun toys and clothes. He had fun playing with the toys with his cousin who is 2. Overall it was a great day. The following day we did have some side effects. He was very clingy and whinny because he was experiencing his sugar low and their was nobody for him to play with except me. We got through the day.
P.S. I cannot find my SD card to transfer my picture to the computer to download so hopefully I will find it soon and post pictures of the fun event.

Merry Christmas!
Well we had a fun and crazy Christmas day. Matt was so excited that he woke up around 6:30am and I finally got out of bed around 7:30am. When i came down stairs I told him that we had to wait for one more family member to wake up before we could open our presents. Ya that did not last. Matt and I opened our presents to each other and then went a got Carson because he was awake. We feed him his breakfast first and then attempted to open presents with him. Matt and I finished opening our present with our main present being the Wii. Then we helped Carson open his presents. Of course being almost one he did not care about what was happening. We then ate breakfast of caramel rolls and omelets. I made breakfast while Matt was putting the Wii together. We played for a bite and then I was ready for a nap. When I woke up Matt's mom had shown up and about an hour later his dad and siblings should up (Matt's parents are divorced). Matt has a brother on a mission so we had dinner at our place while we waited for the phone call. While we were waiting for the phone call everyone played the Wii while I was in the kitchen cooking dinner. I really did not mind. It was nice to talk to Matt's brother and hear about the things he is doing. After we were done talking everyone left except Matt's mom. When they left to go home is when the big storm finally hit. I had never seen lightening while it snowed. Crazy.
I went to bed at my normal time because I had to go to work the following morning unplanned. Matt got up with me to dig out my car from the snow. The roads were really bad because they had not been plowed. Even the freeway was bad. You could not see the lines and everyone was driving 30 mph. I even saw some one spin and do a 360. It was pretty scary. Luckily I made it to work and back without any accidents. I did not go out until that night when Matt, Me, and his dad and siblings all went to the Jazz game. We had a good time and even to free Jazz blankets. The Jazz did win their game against the Dallas Mavericks. We then preceded to drive very late a night to Ogden canyon where Matt's dad had rented a condo for the week. So we spent last night there. The drive was very scary because the roads were covered in ice. The drive home today was much better.
Overall we had a fun Christmas that lasted a couple of days and it is now nice to just sit and relax. A saying that I would like to end with to help up remember what Christmas is all about is "Will you be part of the INN crowed or the STABLE few?"

New Homeowners
So Matt and I just bought our townhouse in June. We are still used to the apartment living where if you have a problem you just call the maintenance people and they will come and fix whatever for you. Well we cannot do that any more and have to take care of it ourselves. We also have to shovel our own snow and so forth. Well the snow fell this weekend with the hose, inflatable pool, grill, and a bucket still outside. They are now covered in snow. We also have been having problems with our furnace and don't know what to do. This are all things we did not think about when we wanted to buy a place. I guess it is a learning process that we have to go through. Hopefully next winter when that first storm comes we will be better prepared.

EXCITING NEWS!!
Well the time has come to offically announce that we are having another baby. I am about 4 months along. This baby was a suprise and has taken me awhile to get used to the idea of having another one. I am excited now and look forward to having another small one. Carson loves other children so I don't think we will have too many problems with him (I hope). He will be a great big brother. I will keep you all posted with updates on how things are going.

Funny Carson Moment
I needed to take an item upstairs so I checked on Carson to see what he was doing and to make sure that he could not get into too much trouble while I was out of the room. So I go upstairs and was gone for just a few minutes, I came back downstairs to find Carson covered in formula. He had gotten into the diaper bag, pulled out his can of formula, took the lid off and was playing with the formula. He was taking handfuls of it out and dumping it on the floor. He also tried to eat it so he had formula powder all over his mouth and clothes. It was so funny I could not help but laugh. He had that look on his face of, "look mom what I did all by myself. Do you want to play". He had a big smile on his face. Of course I did not think of taking any pictures until the mess was all cleaned up. I was more concerned about the formula and not having it dumped all over the place because it is not cheap. And has fate would have it, Matt called in the middle of cleaning it up so I had to put him on hold until the job was done. Matt just laughed when I told him. It was pretty funny!

What's been happening recently
My favorite part of the day that I look forward to is night time, preferably after 7:30 when Carson has gone to bed. I finally get to relax. Carson is such a handful. He is constantly on the move, does not know how to sit still for more than 5 sec, and is always getting into things that he shouldn't be. I only hope that he will have this same energy later on in life and we can put to towards something useful, like sports.
Carson is growing so fast. He recently has learn to clap his hands, smack his lips and click his tongue, and walking. Most people say they would rather not have their kids walk, but I cannot wait. I look forward to the day when I don't have to carry him. I am already chasing him all over the place so it won't be that different. He only say "Ba" and "ma" still and knows how to act when mom is watching him and when dad is watching him. At church today while Matt and I were having choir practise, Carson decided to climb down the stairs by the organ and fell hard. He started screaming and I tried to calm him down. He ended up with a nice bump on his head. The funny thing about is he was fine in about 5 min and was ready to play again. Maybe that is a good thing, maybe not. Only time will tell.
Matt and I have fantasy basketball teams. Basketball is the one sport I don't mind watching all the time. It is fun having a fantasy team because I end up paying more attention to what is going on especially teams other than the Jazz. Last year Matt and I had teams that what part of a league and when the season was over and a winner was declared, they got taken out to dinner for free. Well luck was on my side and I won. I don't think that will happen this season but it is to early to tell.
My camera battery has been dead so I have not taken any picture lately. I just charged it yesterday so hopefully their will be some fun pictures taken in the near future.

I have been listening to ............ Christmas music ! I know, I know christmas is still two months away and we still have Thanksgiving to celebrate (which is my favorite holiday), but i just cannot help myself. It puts my into such a jolly mood. Starting November 1 FM 100 plays christmas music and I could not resist. Some chrsitmas seasons I get tired of the music and other seasons I am sad when they stop playing it. So we shall see what this season brings.

FIRST HAIRCUT
We thought is was time for a haircut. Carson's hair was hanging in his eyes and was having a hard time seeing. We have trimmed his front hair in the past, but we needed to cut more. Matt cut his hair while I held Carson. He did a good job holding still for the most part. We was not afraid of the noise the razor made. AFTER !!!!
Well all of his baby hair is gone. sadness. Matt cut so much hair off. I bet you could probable make a baby Toupee with the hair we cut off. I was very sad to see it all go, but i bet Carson felt better about it not being in his eyes anymore. He looks so grown up that I am having a hard time adjusting to it.

SPA DAY :)
So a while back, on Valentines day to be exact, Matt gave me a gift certificate to a spa. I was so excited about getting it. Carson was 6 weeks old and I was feeling not so pretty as most of you can relate to. So I was excited about the idea of spending the day at the spa while Matt watched Carson. Well many months went by and the gift certificate just sat hidden amongst many papers. Every now and then Matt would ask me when I was going to use the gift certificate. I have to admit I was a little nervous about going to the spa for the day because I have never done something like that before. So I would always reply soon. You always here women talking about if they had a day to do what ever they wanted that the spa would be the ideal location.
Well Matt was asking me about when I wanted to go to the spa and once again I said soon. So he said well how about if I take Wednesday off and you go to the spa. I said OK and called to make the appointment. Well as today was growing closer I started to get nervous and wondered if the way the spa was portrayed on T.V was how it really was. I showed up and it was similar to what I have seen on T.V. The first thing I had done was a massage, then a facial, and ended with a pedicure. I was there for about 4 hours. I was so relaxed that I did not think much about Matt, Carson, Work, or all the worries that I have. I told Matt, when I got home, that I don't think he knows what he has started. I could easily spend a day at the spa once a month, but I don't think the bank account could support it. So I will have to settle for every now and then. I would highly recommend every women experiencing a day at the spa sometime in their lives. I feel like I am ready to take on the world.

WHEELER FARM
Well the time came for another outing with the Macey's crew. This time we expanded and had two other moms and their children come with us. We are making this a monthy event. We all enjoy getting out of the house and hanging out, outside of work. We went to Wheeler Farm today. We decided to do outside events before the weather turns cold. The weather was really nice and the farm was not crowed. At times it felt like we where the only ones there. We saw cows, horses, a pig, chickens, roosters, and many ducks.

THANK YOU TO EVERY SOLDIER
I would like to publicly thank all those soldiers who are so brave and courageous, to take it upon themselves to help protect our freedom. Having a member of the family in the military really opens your eyes to what they go through and what kind of people they are. They are the true American Hero's. I think it is sad that America only remembers what has happened on the days that major events took place. We should always be remembering and honoring those lost lives on a daily bases. We should be supporting our troups that are over seas and not fighting about if we should be there or not. We should be looking at the positive things that have happened and not the dealth count and honoring those that have lost their lives for a cause. My dad has been to Iraq twice and a day never goes by that he has regretted going over their and helping a nation. Helping them to obtain what we have in america, what we tend to take for granted, our feedom. My heart goes out to all those who have been affected by war during their life time.So THANK YOU to all our American Soldiers!
